About Signe
Signe Damron is a poet, writer, and founder of Signe-ture Publishing, an independent literary press based in Columbus, Ohio. A storyteller first, she is drawn to the ways words and art help us understand ourselves and connect with one another. She founded the press to share original literary work and bring writers and artists together, with a commitment to creative ownership and a long-term goal of more sustainable publishing practices.
Her creative work extends beyond the page. Through writing workshops, collaborative exhibitions, and literary events, Signe creates opportunities for people to exchange ideas, explore their voices, and discover something unexpected. She is the author of the poetry collections French Door to Foyer and Sift Me Through, and her work has received support and recognition from the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
Community is also a longstanding part of her life. For more than 20 years, Signe has volunteered with Columbus Schools Special Olympics as a coach and fundraiser. Whether she’s helping shape a book, bringing creatives together, or cheering from the sidelines, she values the relationships that grow from making something happen together.
